ban Washington, D.C., Ryan attended St. Mary's Catholic School until moving to Grosse Pointe, Michigan, following his parent's divorce. It was then that he became the man of the house in a home of all women, five sisters and his mother.
He sought refuge with the other boys in the neighborhood, where he was always the ring leader, the director of activities from war games to paint ball in nearby streams throughout the Mt. Vernon area in Virginia. He organized camping trips where oftentimes, he and his friends would recreate outdoor adventure stories and capture it on homemade video.
His family loved the movies and was always known to have one of the largest film collections in the area. Ryan always knew that he wanted to be an actor. It was just a matter of time.
After graduating from Grosse Pointe South High School, he attended Wayne State University and studied film. Then a financial recession hit and Ryan had to leave school. Detroit was one of the hardest areas hit in the country and it affected his family in a number of ways.
Ryan worked at his grandfather's auction business, DuMouchelle Art Galleries, to keep a roof over his head. After four years of hard-fought struggles, Ryan persevered. He put a plan in place to contact modeling and acting agencies and decided to use his past hardships as a reservoir for future acting roles.
His girlfriend, Alexandra Sabella, a photographer, did a photo shoot of him and sent the photos to multiple agencies.
Within weeks, Ryan signed with three entertainment reps, Star Bright Talent Management, Productions Plus and the I-Group. Ryan began doing modeling shoots on the side, while working his full-time job. Within months, a photo of Ryan appeared in The Hour Magazine.
He has since worked on the films "Needlestick" filmed in Detroit in 2014; "Eloise" filmed in Detroit in 2014; "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" filmed in Detroit in 2014; and most recently, was a lead character "Seth" for the pilot "Out of Ashes" in 2014 based on the best-selling book of the same name in 2014.
